Aqua'Rider's Day "Full Ubaye"

Rafting and kayaking down the most beautiful descent on Ubaye with a small picnic break by the water.

In spring it is possible to embark from the village of Jausiers or on the Bachelard (a tributary of the Ubaye) then sail at the foot of the Sauze, Pra-Loup and Saint-Jean Montclar resorts and cross Barcelonnette. 

Duration 5 hours on the water, 20 km minimum

We will meet you on our base in the Ubaye Valley at 9:30 am.

A complete set of equipment will be given to you: botillons + neoprene suit + helmet + lifejacket.  

A state-certified guide will give you a briefing on navigation and safety techniques.   

We will embark on a rafting trip for the longest descent of the Ubaye, the aim being to reach the Serre-Ponçon Lake if the water level and the crew allow it. 

The most sporty sections will be done by rafting and the easiest by kayaking. 

We will stop by the waterfront for lunch.

Rafting down the Ubaye requires you to be in good physical shape, to be able to swim 25 m and to immerse yourself.

Bring a swimsuit, a towel and if necessary a cord to attach your glasses.  

Tapering rates: from 8 ps (- 5 €/ps), from 14 ps (- 10 €/ps).  

On site: bars (draught beers), snack bar (Italian specialities) and restaurant (pizzas and local salads).  

Accomodation : Camping River (on site) and Gîte de Méolans (2.5 km away).  

For those who stay ashore: Lac du Lauzet (supervised swimming, SUP rentals).
